**RESCHEDULED** Bayfront Cleanup - Community Service Event

**RESCHEDULED - This event was rescheduled to 9/23. Members are encouraged to participate but due to the date change will not be able to do this as a club event. Connect with Laurie Marmon if you would like to use some of the supplies mentioned below.**

Please join the club as we give back to our community by participating in the San Mateo Bayfront Cleanup. Adults and children (with parental consent and supervision) are invited to join the SMPC team to clean up San Mateo. Participants should plan on being at Ryder Park on time and attending the entire cleanup part of the event (8am-12pm). 

Come prepared to help with the following:

  • Old clothes that can get a little dirty
  • Closed toed shoes
  • Reusable water bottle, to stay hydrated
  • Gloves (some available to borrow)
  • Trash picker/grabber (optional, some available to borrow)

Optionally, all volunteers will be able to attend the "thank you" barbecue sponsored by the city of San Mateo, held after the cleanup. The barbecue will have live DJ music and lunch (hamburgers and veggie burgers). Teams will also share their most unique finds with prizes for heaviest, strangest and most valuable item found.

All participants will need to sign a waiver online or at the event.
