Parents, if you've ever wondered...

  • "What is literacy and why is it so important?"
  • "How can I build my child's confidence in speaking?"
  • "What can I do to encourage my child to be a strong reader?"
  • "What tools do I need to help build early literacy skills in my child from infancy through preschool?"
  • "What can I do now to set my child up for success as a reader?"

Join Rachel Kammeyer, MA, CCC-SLP, for a talk explaining the importance of play and how it builds language in young children. She'll discuss milestones by age and share tips and strategies to support literacy - a skill vital for lifelong learning and success in the 21st century.

Refreshments will be available. Please RSVP so we can ensure we have enough refreshments for all attending. We hope you can join us for a wonderful, inspired discussion!

Rachel is a speech-language pathologist who is passionate about helping people at all stages of life: she has worked with preschoolers all the way to individuals over 100, and has experience with speech and language delays and disorders, neurological rehabilitation, and feeding and swallowing difficulties. She is currently home with her infant and soon-to-be 2 year old.
