When is it safe to start trying solids? What foods are safe? What is Baby Led Weaning? Is making baby food hard? How can I help my child avoid being a picky eater? What is typical in the first year? What are signs something isn’t quite right? The transition to solid foods can be intimidating, but it can also be a time for fun and adventure! Join speech-language pathologists (and mothers) Ayelet Marinovich, MA, CCC-SLP, founder of Strength in Words, and Rachel Kammeyer, MA, CCC-SLP, an expert in food texture and consistency, for an overview of the journey into solid foods We’ll explain a few approaches (purees, baby-led weaning, etc), answer questions about food safety, and offer a few resources and ideas for recipes to lead our children toward mindful and adventurous eating in the first year of life!
